Dynamo Kiev's Andriy Shevchenko

Dynamo: Andriy Shevchenko

Last night, in his very first game for Dynamo Kiev, Chelsea flop Andriy Shevchenko achieved what he did all too rarely during his time at Stamford Bridge: he scored.

The strike by Shevchenko, returning for a second spell in Kiev, helped Dynamo to a 3-1 win against Metallurg Donetsk.

The 32-year-old striker was back on duty for Dynamo 10 years after leaving to join AC Milan and just days after completing his transfer from Chelsea.

Shevchenko made sure of victory with a last-minute penalty after Milos Ninkovic and Andriy Yarmolenko had earlier edged Dynamo in front.

Ninkovic and Yarmolenko scored either side of Ciprian Tanasa's reply in a spell of three goals in five minutes just before half-time.

Dynamo stay top of the Superliga table, while Shakhtar Donetsk remain in touch after grabbing their fourth win in five games, winning 3-1 at home against Zarya Lugansk.
