• Ihor Tsyhanyk: “Let’s keep an eye on Supriaha and watch. We don’t have that many super talents”

    27.11.2025, 19:16

Renowned commentator Ihor Tsyhanyk discussed whether Dynamo Kyiv striker Vladyslav Supriaha will make an impact at Kamianets-Podilskyi’s Epitsentr.

    — At one time, Supriaha indeed was offered 6 million euros. Ajax, when he was still at Dnipro-1, made an offer, and Dynamo bought him for a large sum — roughly the same amount. This guy has potential. Such footballers are not let go easily. Yes, he is going through a difficult period in his life. Perhaps it’s his own issue. But let’s still keep an eye on him and watch. Yesterday, he was working on the field. I have a soft spot for him because I believe he had and probably still has very strong talent.

It pains me to see when such footballers simply disappear. It should not be like this. This means that somewhere, the coaches didn’t work hard enough, somewhere he wasn’t developed. We don’t have that many super talents that we can say they are capable of pulling our football forward, — said Tsyhanyk.

Nigerian winger Prosper Obah is having an incredible stretch this season in the Ukrainian championship, which has sparked many rumors about his potential transfer.

It is reported that Prosper has already signed a contract with Donetsk’s Shakhtar, but as Sport.ua has learned, the Nigerian remains a player of Cherkasy’s LNZ. Shakhtar is indeed showing significant interest in the foreign player, but there is no talk of contract signing at the moment.

Currently, the Nigerian is with the 'violets' and is preparing for the next Ukrainian Premier League match. Prosper’s current contract with LNZ expires on June 30, 2029. This season, the Nigerian has played 13 matches, scoring 7 goals and providing 2 assists.

  • Sharan to Head 'Alexandria' in Winter Instead of Nesterenko

    27.11.2025, 16:35

On October 4th, Volodymyr Sharan returned to 'Alexandria'. However, he took charge of the second team and continues to work with the youth of the 'Citizens'.

According to UA-Football, during the winter break, the 54-year-old specialist will return to work in the UPL and take the position of head coach of Alexandria’s first team.

The last time Sharan coached a UPL representative was almost two years ago, when he was dismissed as the head coach of 'Minaj' in November 2023. Sharan could have returned to coaching at the end of last season. He was offered to head 'Chornomorets', but Volodymyr Bohdanovych declined for personal reasons.

The current head coach of 'Alexandria' is Kyrylo Nesterenko.

  • «Accepted it as a lesson for the future,»—Yegor Tverdokhlib on Kryvbas’s 0:4 defeat by Dynamo

    27.11.2025, 09:45

The midfielder of Kryvyi Rih’s «Kryvbas» Yegor Tverdokhlib recalled the match against Kyiv’s «Dynamo» (0:4) in the 10th round of the Ukrainian championship.

«The team accepted it as a lesson for the future. We shouldn’t look at where we are now (after 13 rounds „Kryvbas“ is in fifth place in the standings, — editor’s note), because only a third of the championship has passed.

We knew who we were playing against—this is a strong opponent, despite their performance in European competitions. Perhaps they have their own problems, but it is still „Dynamo“, that’s the level, every player there is individually very strong. We need to follow our game. Yes, we lost that match, perhaps we played it poorly somewhere, but we need to draw conclusions and move on,»—said Tverdokhlib.

  • Is the CEO of Karpaty ignoring the team’s matches?

    26.11.2025, 18:13

The CEO of Karpaty, Andriy Rusol, has already missed three consecutive home matches of the green-and-whites, although he was spotted at the match of the 13th round of the Ukrainian championship between Rukh and Kudrivka.

It seems Rusol has been disappointed with the capabilities of Vladyslav Lupashko, whom he once invited to lead the youth squad of Karpaty, and then the main team in place of Myron Markevych, or he doesn’t want to meet the demanding fans who are dissatisfied with the lack of stability in the Lviv team’s performances this season.

According to available information, the Karpaty management is currently actively searching for a new head coach, but has not yet decided who will lead the green-and-whites in the second part of the championship.
