In an interview with the Italian media, Shakhtar sporting director Dario Srna spoke about what is happening in Ukraine at the moment when the national football team is participating in the final of Euro 2024.
"It is difficult to talk about football now, because I have been living in Ukraine for a long time and I know how much people are suffering from what is happening. Every day there are sirens, explosions, we are constantly living in stress, and this is not a normal life. They [the Ukrainian national team players] play for everyone [Ukrainians], even if it's not easy. After Croatia, my heart, half of my heart, is beating for Ukraine, and I hope they can go further. Sudakov is a great talent. Together with Mudryk and Tsygankov, they can create problems for Belgium," Srna said.
Yesterday Dynamo Kyiv finished their summer vacation, which lasted since May 26, and today the Bilo-Syni will gather at their club base in Koncha-Zaspa, but, of course, with an incomplete squad.
Six Dynamo players, who are now in the Ukraine national team for Euro-2024, will get rest only after some time, after which they will arrive at Dynamo location. In addition, the players of the Bilo-Syni, who were part of the Ukrainian Olympic team at the international tournament in France in June - four such players - will come out of vacation later.
Thus, today Dynamo will gather without ten of its players, each of whom is a representative of the team's main squad.
On Monday and Tuesday Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's charges will undergo a traditional medical examination in one of the capital clinics. In parallel with this, the team will start training at their club base.
And on July 7 Dynamo will go to the off-season training camp, which will be held in Austria. Within its framework, the Bilo-Syni will play a series of control matches. The name of only one sparring partner of the Bilo-Syni is known so far - it is the Danish Brøndby.
After the end of the Austrian training camp Dynamo will go to the place of the first match of the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League with Belgrade Partizan, which will be held on July 23 or 24, and from which the next soccer season will start for Dynamo. This match is nominally a home game for Dynamo, but because of the war it will be held outside Ukraine. The venue of the Dynamo vs Partizan match has not been determined yet, but according to the media, the Bilo-Syni leadership is negotiating with the LCS stadium in the Polish city of Lodz.
As for the Ukrainian championship of the season-2024/25, it is expected to start on August 3.
Colombian central defender of Brazil's Fortaleza Bryan Ceballos is one step away from becoming a Dynamo Kyiv player.
According to the telegram channel "Zorya Londonsk", yesterday the 23-year-old footballer arrived in Kyiv to undergo a medical examination and sign a contract with Dynamo.
