Arsenal have opened talks with Manchester City over the transfer of defender Oleksandr Zinchenko, according to the Daily Mail.

The Manchester club is ready to sell the 25-year-old footballer for around 35 million pounds (over 41 million euros - approx.).

The transfer record for Ukrainians currently stands at £30.8m - Andriy Shevchenko to Chelsea in 2006. Zinchenko also received offers from Everton, West Ham and Chelsea.

It was reported that Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta plans to use Zinchenko in the midfield position.
