The Armed Forces of Ukraine demonstrated how the process of reloading the American multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) "HIMARS" takes place, and also talked about its use in combat conditions.
Reloading one HIMARS pack for 6 rockets takes 5-10 minutes. Interestingly, a similar process for the Russian MLRS "Smerch" and "Hurricane" takes 40 and 20 minutes, respectively.
— The HIMARS system is very accurate. Up to the point that the second missile fired flies exactly into the hole in the target from the impact of the first missile.
We use this system for strikes against super-important enemy targets. These are control posts, command posts, ammunition depots, electronic warfare equipment. Weather conditions do not affect the performance of the HIMARS system at all, so we use it day and night, rain and fog.
I simply won’t compare this system with similar MLRS, because it’s the same as comparing Mercedes and Zhiguli,” said the Ukrainian military who work at the front with HIMARS.
