Journalist Ihor Tsyganyk reacted to rumors about the possible transfer of Shakhtar defender Mykola Matvienko to Ajax.
"Matvienko in Ajax is a fake. I think it's fake. The only Ukrainian that Shakhtar can sell now is Mudryk. As far as I understand, there are ongoing negotiations with Brentford. Even this week there were consultations, everything continues, some new conditions.
Allegedly, they say that they are not ready to sell Mudryk, but offer their terms. After the answers, "Shakhtar" takes a break, you know, such a process is long, it may take another 1.5 months.
And because of Matviyenko, now it is very difficult to get a large amount for him. It will not be a very large amount. Mudryk - Yes, over €20 million. Will they give so much for Matvienko... that's a big question. He needs to play well in the Champions League, and then expect to be sold," said Tsyganyk.
