Dynamo Kyiv midfielder and captain Serhiy Sydorchuk has signed a new three-year contract with his club, until the summer of 2025, with the possibility of further extension.
Sidorchuk became a Dynamo player in January 2013, moving to the capital club from Metalurh Zaporizhya. Over the nine years of playing for the White-Blues, Sergei has become a true team leader both on and off the field. The midfielder was elected captain of Dynamo Kyiv on September 10, 2017 and for the first time led the team on the field with the captain's armband in the match of the 8th round of the Ukrainian Championship against Oleksandriya.
Together with Dynamo, 31-year-old Serhiy Sydorchuk became the champion of Ukraine four times, won the national Cup and the Super Cup of the country the same number of times.
The midfielder has 183 matches (17 goals) in the Ukrainian Premier League, 31 matches (1 goal) in the Ukrainian Cup, 72 matches (2 goals) in European competitions in the Kiev team, as well as 37 official matches (3 goals) for the national team Ukraine.
