Today, July 18, the draw for the 3rd qualifying round of the 2022/23 Champions League will take place in Nyon, which, among other things, will determine the possible opponents of Dynamo Kyiv at this stage of the tournament - in case the White-Blues manage to pass the 2nd qualification, where, we recall, they will fight with the Turkish Fenerbahce.
Beginning of the draw procedure 13:00 Kyiv time.
Recall that Dynamo will play in the qualification of the current Champions League along the "path of" non-champions ". In this segment of the tournament, in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League, eight clubs: two winners of the second qualification, vice-champions of the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Scotland (PSV, Union Saint-Gilloise, Sturm, Rangers), as well as the third teams of France and Portugal (Monaco, Benfica) ).
Before the draw, all participants in the 3rd qualifying round are divided into two pots - "seeded" and "unseeded" - according to their UEFA club coefficient. For pairs of the 2nd qualification, the maximum value of the coefficients of the opponents in the pair will be taken. As a result of this principle, the Dynamo-Fenerbahce pair ended up in the seeded group.
