The former coach of Dynamo Kyiv and the national team of Ukraine Yozhef Sabo shared his expectations for the match between Dynamo and Fenerbahce.
Joseph Szabo— I watched the last matches of "Dynamo" - I'll be honest that I liked them. After the game with Lyon, I couldn't sleep, I was worried about what happened to the team? The match against "Antwerp" was more or less successful, but there is no coherence. Losing is one thing, but creating little. I don't see the main line-up of Dynamo right now. I can't say 100%, because some Kyiv players are in a very bad condition. It is not at all clear what the central defenders are doing. Perhaps, due to heavy loads, they "sat down" so much, that's why they make a lot of mistakes...
Again, we all understand the difficult situation our country is in. The players are also worried - perhaps this affects their concentration. It got scary: we don't know where the rocket might go. They are destroying the whole country. I put a chair in such a place in the apartment where there are triple walls - where do I run during an air alarm? I won't have time...
— Can Fenerbahce be called the favorite of the match?
— With such a game, it is very worrying to talk about Dynamo's chances, but I didn't see Fenerbahce. We know that there are good teams in Turkey and it will be difficult for Kyiv. In the first match, the chances will be 50 to 50. The result must be done in the first game, because we will not win in Turkey.
— Who will play for Dynamo in attack?
— Kyiv has no strikers at all who control the ball, cut back, are hardworking, with a sense of goal. I don't see that. The team hasn't played anywhere, is training, doesn't create anything and doesn't have much contact with the ball. Also, I don't know what happened to Besedin. He started very well. First disqualified, then seriously injured and lost. In friendly matches, he was nothing. I look at it this way, while Garmash is superior to everyone at his age. Perhaps he will play in the attack against Fenerbahce.
— Would Dynamo strengthen Andriy Yarmolenko?
— I knew that he would not come to Dynamo. Andriy had other suggestions, there is a war in our country - it is not known how the championship will be held. I am surprised by two "Dynamo" legionnaires who have not moved anywhere - Kendzora and Verbych. Apparently, no one was approached.
— Did you expect that Dynamo would sell one of the leaders: Tsygankov, Shaparenko, Zabarny or Buyalsky?
— I like Shaparenko. It is obvious that he is a football player who will continue to grow. Hardworking, with good field vision. I think he has to go somewhere - he is a good player who has everything: good physics, field vision, shot. Tsygankov has disappeared for me. I said that it is not necessary to constantly write about him, talk about him - he is the best, he is followed and so on. Who wants to buy it now? Had previous offers - must sell. Tsygankov was injured again and did not play.
