Cologne sent a letter to UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin with a request to immediately remove Belarusian teams from participation in all European tournaments.

The German club can play against BATE Borisov, Gomel, Shakhtar Soligorsk or Dynamo Minsk at the group stage of the Conference League. But "Cologne" strongly condemns the proximity of the Belarusian government to Russia and the mass support of the Belarusian authorities for the war in Ukraine, therefore, asks to remove clubs from this country from competitions, as has already been done with Russian teams.

Cologne calls on other clubs to also join the initiative to remove teams from Belarus. Now UEFA has only banned Belarusians from playing European Cup matches in their country, they are allowed to play on neutral fields.
