Ukraine will soon receive the latest German IRIS-T air defense system at its disposal.
Now this complex is at the final stage of its production. As soon as it is ready, Germany will send it to Ukraine. This was announced by the German Foreign Ministry Annalena Burbock.
According to her, the IRIS-T complex will be ready for shipment to Ukraine by the end of summer.
The IRIS-T air defense system is one of the latest developments of the German air defense system - it was put into service in this country at the end of 2005. And her last modification dates back to 2014.
IRIS-T guided missiles are capable of shooting down any multiple air targets flying in different directions - not only planes and helicopters, but also missiles. The range of the IRIS-T guided missile is up to 40 km, and the altitude is up to 20 km.
