As already reported, Ukraine agreed with Germany to receive the latest IRIS-T air defense system at its disposal.
Air defense system IRIS-TInformation about the exact timing of the delivery of this complex continued to be ambiguous for a long time, but the situation was clarified at today's briefing in Berlin by Deputy Spokesperson for the German government Christiane Hofmann.
According to her statement, Ukraine will receive the IRIS-T air defense system closer to the end of this year.
Recall, according to media reports, this complex, intended for Ukraine, is currently at the final stage of its production. As soon as it is ready, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will have it at their disposal.
The IRIS-T air defense system is one of the latest developments in its industry. The guided missiles of the complex are capable of shooting down any multiple air targets flying in different directions - not only planes and helicopters, but also missiles. The range of the IRIS-T guided missile is up to 40 km, and the altitude is up to 20 km.
