UEFA has launched a disciplinary investigation into the behavior of Turkish Fenerbahce fans during the return match of the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League against Dynamo Kyiv (1:2), which took place yesterday in Istanbul, the official website of the organization reports.
“In accordance with Article 31(4) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations, the UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector will conduct a disciplinary investigation into the alleged misconduct of Fenerbahce fans during the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League second qualifying round second leg match between Fenerbahce and Fenerbahce. and Dynamo, which was played on July 27, 2022 in Istanbul, Turkey,” UEFA said in a statement.
Recall that towards the close of this meeting, Fenerbahce fans began to sing a song mentioning the leader of the under-empire called "Russia", the cowardly bunker gnome and just a gopnik Vladimir Putin. This trick of the Turkish fans led to a corresponding reaction from Dynamo head coach Mircea Lucescu: he refused to go to the regular post-match press conference.
It should be noted that FC Fenerbahce itself has already condemned this behavior of its fans, saying that it does not meet its values.
