FC Aesch Under 19 International Football Tournament

Third place match

"Dynamo» (Kyiv, Ukraine) - "Fulham» (London, England) — 4:2 (2:0)
goals: Pain (9), Tsarenko (13), Dzen (54), Gorbach (64) - Gordon (48, 58).

"Dynamo» (starting lineup): 12. Avramenko - 8. Benedyuk, 4. Pain, 17. Filatov, 28. Bilokon - 6. Yatsyk (k), 22. Salenko, 19. Matkevich, 10. Tsarenko, 13. Kremchanin - 23. Zen.

Came out to replace: 3. Balaba, 7. Slesar, 9. Gorbach, 5. Yanchishin, 21. Vasylets.

Recall that the Dynamo youths played in Group A, where they already met with Fulham. Then the defeat from the Londoners (1:2) did not prevent Dynamo from becoming the winners of their quartet - in other matches, the Kievans defeated the Swiss Basel (5:1) and the Mexican Tigres (3:1).

However, in the semi-final match, Igor Kostyuk's wards lost to the Spanish Valencia - the main time of the match ended with a score of 3:3, and in the penalty shoot-out, luck smiled at our rivals, who converted one more penalty kick.

As for Fulham, the English, having left our group from the second position, lost to Juventus in the other semi-final with a score of 1:2.

In today's game, the Kiev team was replenished by Anton Bol, Oleksandr Yatsyk and Anton Tsarenko, who returned to the youth team from the main team, which took part in a friendly charity match with Everton in Liverpool.

This reinforcement played an important role in the meeting with Fulham, because both Dynamo goals in the first half were scored by two of these players. After the teams met at the group stage, Dynamo drew the appropriate conclusions, and today our team completely dominated the British, bringing the matter to a confident victory, although during the game the Londoners doubled the gap in the score.

Already in the 9th minute, Matkevich earned a set piece on the left flank and completed it himself, hanging into the penalty area. Pain joined the set piece, who was left without guardianship at the far post and sent the ball into the goal with his head — 1:0.

The second goal was not long in coming. The Kremchanin caught up with the ball near the front line and transferred it to Benedyuk, who passed further to Tsarenko - and Anton sent the round into the net with a touch from 12 meters - 2:0.

Dynamo could have scored even more - for example, Matkevich promisingly shot with his head, but the English goalkeeper reacted. In addition, a goal by Zenem was not counted - it was preceded by a violation of the rules by Tsarenko, who “robbed” the defender of the Londoners after a pass from the goalkeeper.

Fulham was able to sharply respond only after half an hour of the game, when team captain Delano McCoy-Splatt shot from a free kick dangerously close to the crossbar.

In the second 35-minute period, Dynamo's advantage remained - the Kievans actively pressed the opponents, often with the whole team being in the opponent's half of the field, and could increase the score. In particular, Salenko hit the post at the beginning of the half.

The Londoners managed to get back one goal thanks to the individual actions of Lemar Gordon, who entered the Dynamo penalty area and brilliantly shot into the near corner - Avramenko failed to save - 2:1.

However, Dynamo soon broke away quite easily in the score - Pain gave a long pass from his half of the field to Kremchanin, who moved from the right flank to the penalty area and tried to shoot or shoot past the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper touched the ball and sent it right under the foot of Zen, who set a goal point in this attack - 3:1.

Fulham again left Lemar Gordon in the game, who scored a spectacular goal, sending the ball from the left edge of the penalty area into the far corner of Avramenko's goal — 3:2.

But the Dynamo team did not hesitate to respond. After a throw-in by Bilokonem from the left flank, Gorbach entered the penalty area and also hit the far corner, setting the final score - 4:2, which brought the "white-blue" bronze medals of the tournament.
