As previously reported, the former Dynamo Kyiv defender Domagoj Vida became a player of the Greek AEK. After signing a contract with his club, the 33-year-old football player commented on his choice.
Domagoj Vida“Honestly, this time it was a little more difficult to decide on your future. But I made a decision in favor of AEK after hearing a lot about this club. I knew it was a big club, but they told me about the fans, that a very beautiful stadium was being built, that Athens is a good city to live in.
And, in the end, the most important thing for me was my sporting success. I could have gone somewhere else to run for money, but I decided to come to Athens and fight for the championship and all the titles that we can win with AEK.
My personal goal is to be the best that I can be. Continue to learn as much as possible about football. I came here because I was offered a part in a project that will help me become a better person. So my goal is to become an even better player and take home some more trophies so that when I finish my career I can get up in the morning and see them with my kids,” Vida said.
