The rival of Zorya Lugansk in the 3rd qualifying round of the Conference League, the Romanian Universitatya, started the new season with a slippage.
In two opening matches of the Romanian Championship-2022/23, the team from Craiova played a draw (against Shepsa - 2:2 and with Universities from Cluj - 1:1), and in the third round, the opponent of the Luhansk team lost completely, and on its own field - Bucharest "Rapid", 0:1.
As a result, after the matches played, "Universitate" is only in 12th place in the standings of the Romanian Championship (16 clubs in total participate in the tournament). The team from Craiova finished the last championship in third place.
Recall that the first match between Zorya and Universitay will take place next Thursday, August 4, in Lublin, Poland, and a week later, the opponents will play on the field of the Romanian club.
