FC "Dynamo" (Kyiv) met with sadness the news of the death at the front of the pupil of our club Dmitry Pivn.
Dmitry PivenSince childhood, Dmitry dreamed of becoming a professional football player, he enrolled in the Dynamo Youth Football School, but his playing career did not work out. Since the start of a full-scale war, he did not hesitate for a long time and immediately enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his native land from Russian invaders.
Having no combat experience, Dmitry with the call sign "Ptah" went through training camps, after which, as part of a motorized rifle battalion, he went to the Donetsk direction, where he was "at zero". At the same time, as a former footballer, he organized football battles with his brothers in order to somehow entertain himself in the conditions in which the guys were.
Having received permission from the battalion commander, at the beginning of the summer he escaped to Kyiv for several days and signed with his beloved Alena. And the next day after the newly-made wife received a passport with a new surname, the news came that Dmitry was gone ...
Dmitry Pivn will be buried at the Berkovets cemetery on Saturday, August 6. Everyone can come to the main entrance at 10.30 and say goodbye to the Hero.
