Dynamo Kyiv defender Konstantin Vivcharenko spoke with the club's press service during preparations for the return match against Sturm.
- Kostya, describe your emotions from the debut match for the first team.
- These emotions cannot be conveyed, those feelings, when I went out in the winning match with Fenerbahce, gave a scoring assist. I was overwhelmed with emotions, I felt proud of the debut for my native club, because I have been in Dynamo since I was 13 years old. I trained for a very long time, went to this goal. I thank my family for their support, as well as the coaching staff for their trust, for putting me on the field at such a decisive moment.
It was hard to fall asleep the night after the match, because the emotions were overwhelming. I was in touch with my family, I was very proud of this moment.
— What is your next personal goal now?
- You need to train every day, prove that you deserve to play in such a club, do everything in my power.
- What did Mircea Lucescu say to you when he let you out on the field?
- He told me to do everything I can, what the coaching staff wants to see from me.
- What is the mood in the team before the return match?
- We have a great atmosphere in the team, so we are in a good mood for the decisive game with Sturm.
- Do you think it's worth waiting for surprises from Sturm?
- We know how Sturm plays, we analyze, we look at what mistakes we made, which ones should not be repeated. I think that we will prepare well and win this match.
- What was the main focus when working on the bugs?
- Those mistakes that the coaching staff pointed out to us, let them remain in the middle of the team. Everything will be visible on Tuesday.
- Will Dynamo come out even stronger in the second match?
- Of course, we are playing for the sake of the whole of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, those guys who are on the front lines. So we give 100% in every game. We want to give emotions to our country, which is now in a difficult situation. We try to win every match.
— You posted a very sensitive post on Instagram. Was there any reaction from the guys from the front line?
— Yes, I have acquaintances on the front line, in the direction of Kharkov. They have been Dynamo fans since childhood, they are very proud of our team, they congratulate us on the victory.
