FIFA may change the start date of the 2022 World Cup. This is reported by the Mirror.
According to the source, this decision is being considered in order for the hosts, the Qatar national team, to play in the opening match of the tournament.
At the moment, the starting game is the Senegal-Netherlands meeting, which is to be held on November 21 at 12:00 Kyiv time. The Qatar national team will play their first match at 18:00 against the team of Ecuador. In this regard, FIFA may postpone the match to November 20.
It is known that this decision must also be confirmed by the documentation required by the Bureau of the FIFA Council, but, according to unofficial information, this may already be a formality.
