Universitatya fired its head coach the day before the return match against Zorya

The Romanian Universitatya, which is the rival of Zorya Lugansk in the 3rd qualifying round of the Conference League, decided to change the team's head coach at the very beginning of the season.

As the official website of Universitati reported yesterday, the head coach of this team, Laszlo Balinta, was dismissed from his position. Mirel Redoy has already been appointed as the new coach of the team.

This decision was obviously the result of the club's unsuccessful start in the 2022/23 season. In the Romanian championship, Universitatea managed to score only 5 points in four matches, and lost to Zorya (0:1) in the Conference League (0:1) in the first match of the third qualifier.
