At the age of 75, the heart of the former Dynamo Kyiv football player and Dynamo football school coach Vyacheslav Semenov stopped.

Vyacheslav Semenov

On behalf of the club, condolences to the family and friends of Vyacheslav Mikhailovich were expressed by the president of Dynamo Igor Surkis.

“With a feeling of deep sorrow I met the sad news of the death of Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Semenov.

A pupil of the Kyiv Dynamo school, a former player of our club, who gained recognition and fame as part of another representative of Ukrainian football - Lugansk Zorya, has passed away.

Vyacheslav Mikhailovich brought invaluable benefits to his native Kyiv Dynamo as a children's coach, helping young talents of the Dynamo football school to develop and take their first steps in the game of millions for several decades.

On behalf of the entire club and the Dynamo Kyiv fan community, I express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Vyacheslav Mikhailovich. The bright memory of a real Dynamo player will remain in our hearts and memory forever.”

With respect and deep sorrow,
President of FC Dynamo (Kyiv)
Igor Surkis

Condolences in connection with the death of Vyacheslav Semenov were also expressed by an honorary member of UEFA Grigory Surkis.

With despair and pain, I accepted the tragic news of the death of a talented performer, an outstanding coach, a wonderful person and a dear friend of our entire football family, Vyacheslav Semenov.

I sincerely grieve with you - and those who knew him personally, and those who were simply fond of his game as a fan. A true master has left us, who will always be remembered - not only a sharp forward, Olympic medalist, USSR champion, mentor, thanks to whose many years of work a number of Dynamo stars caught fire in the football sky. But also a truly kind, cheerful and wise person.

We will all miss Vyacheslav Mikhailovich. And once again I want to express my boundless condolences to his family and friends. May our dear friend rest in peace...

With respect and deep sorrow,
Grigory SURKIS
