Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo is considering a return to Sporting, according to Corriere dello Sport.

It is noted that Sporting will not be able to pay the footballer's salary without the help of Manchester United. According to Spotrac, the striker earns £26.8m a year at Manchester United.
Ronaldo played for Sporting in 1997-2003.
