Open letter of SC "Dnipro-1" regarding telecasts of home matches in the championship of Ukraine.

Today is the start of the championship of the Ukrainian Premier League. The day that the whole country was looking forward to, and which is a vivid example of the indomitability of our people. One of the important factors of this indomitability is the unity and ability of Ukrainians to rally to achieve a common goal. And it seemed to us that the decision to start the football season under martial law should be an example of this kind of unity. But, unfortunately, even at such a time there were those who put some ambitions above common interests. It is very unfortunate that they are trying to drag a number of UPL clubs into these "showdowns", including SC "Dnipro-1".

Our club expresses its indignation at the situation that has developed and categorically declares the inadmissibility of finding out relationships within the football community. For our part, we have always advocated and continue to advocate for the availability of quality football content for the widest possible television audience. Free access to broadcasts of matches of the UPL championship is a demonstrative step for the same unity and support of Ukrainians who are currently going through difficult times, and for whom watching matches of their favorite teams is a source of inspiration to continue fighting for our state. The ability for everyone to watch football for free is the only condition under which "Dnipro-1" was ready to transfer the rights to broadcast UPL matches free of charge.

Based on the long-term experience of cooperation with the "1+1 media" group (SC "Dnipro-1" has a long-term contract with it), our club can assure that its capabilities open up opportunities specifically for viewing matches by a multi-million audience. This is possible both on national channels and through the OTT platform and YouTube channels.

We emphasize that SC "Dnipro-1" is the owner of the rights to broadcast the team's home matches. We call once again on all subjects of the Ukrainian football economy to stop any speculations on the grounds of broadcasts of championship matches and to treat the positions of each club with respect. "Dnipro-1" chooses the interests of fans and we hope that our colleagues will do the same.

Glory to Ukraine!
