The president of "Poltava" Serhiy Ivashchenko took it upon himself to explain to the journalists what had happened.
According to the regulations, before the start of the match, the host team must receive permission to play the game at the stadium. There were no problems with security or bomb shelters, the only issue that needed to be resolved was the permit. In the PFL regulations, it is written that permission to hold matches must be given personally by the head of the OVA. The head of the PFL says that, in the worst case, it could be one of the deputy heads of the OVA. Yesterday morning, I addressed the head of the OVA Dmytro Lunin. He redirected me to the head of the Department of Youth and Sports Maryna Trokhymenko. She gave us permission. But for the PFL, permission from her is not the document that provides grounds for holding the match. Personal permission of the head of the OVA is required. I repeatedly appealed to Dmytro Lunin, but he ignored the appeal. I was hoping to the last communication, and that Mr. Lunin would give us permission or entrust it to one of the deputies. But unfortunately, this did not happen. Therefore, the match inspector and the security officer decided not to play this game, due to the fact that there are no relevant documents for it.
When Serhii Ivashchenko was asked what Lunin's ignoring of his appeals was, the president of Poltava answered that he had nothing to do with it, and he did not understand why it happened. He is also going to turn to the UAF and the head of the PFL with a request for help.
— Even in Zaporizhzhia, where there were twelve arrivals, permission is given for Metalurga's home matches. So I do not at all understand why they do not give permission to hold matches in Poltava.
Also, Serhii Ivashchenko publicly apologized to rivals and journalists for the fact that his team's home match did not take place. The further fate of the confrontation between "Poltava" and "Girnyk-Sport" will be decided by the KDC.
