Dynamo Kyiv is preparing for the opening match of the 2022/23 Ukrainian Championship, in which Mircea Lucescu's team will play against Dnipro-1 in Lviv today.
On the eve of this meeting, the Kiev team held a pre-game session at the training base of the Rukh Academy in Vinniki.
The workout was intense and lasted just over an hour. First, there was an intensive warm-up conducted by Vitaliy Kulyba, after which the players started exercises with balls. After the “squares”, various ball control exercises followed. At the end of the lesson, the players made a series of shots on goal, properly checking the goalkeepers.
At the same time, Lucescu even announced a kind of challenge - the field players named the number of goals they would score for each of the goalkeepers. Without scoring the agreed number, the players did push-ups from the lawn. So it was after all three series, when Georgy Bushchan, Denis Boyko and Ruslan Neshcheret stood at the gate in turn.
During the evening session, club president Igor Surkis also entered the training field. He talked with the head coach, encouraged the team and wished the guys good luck in the long-awaited match in the Ukrainian championship.
All players are working with inspiration after returning to Ukraine and looking forward to the first match in the national championship.
As a reminder, the Dynamo-Dnepr-1 match will start on Sunday at 17:00. The match will take place at the Arena Lviv stadium.
