Kryvbas Kryvbas midfielder Dmitry Khomchenovsky talks about the war.
— You are from Vuhledar, Donetsk region. What is there now and do your relatives or acquaintances stay in this city?
“About the same thing is happening there as happened with Mariupol and Volnovakha. In fact, half the city is no more. All mine from there, thank God, left. Of those whom I knew, no one remained in Ugledar.
A shell hit the high-rise building of my wife's parents, half of the house collapsed. My parents' house is still standing, the apartment is intact, but the windows and doors have fallen out. The main thing is that everyone is safe now.
- For some time you played for the Russian "Ural". After the start of a full-scale war, did any of your former teammates get in touch with you?
- Not a single person. One very old acquaintance wrote, asked what and how, he began to make excuses that he did not watch TV and did not know anything. After that conversation, I did not answer him anymore, I deleted all contacts.
