UEFA held a meeting of the Chamber of the Club Financial Control Body, as a result of which it was decided to impose sanctions for violations of financial fair play (FFP) against eight European clubs. The teams include PSG, Milan, Inter, Roma, Juventus, Monaco, Besiktas and Marseille.
The sanctions were applied based on an analysis of the period from 2018 to 2022, of which 2020 and 2021 were counted as one financial year. In total, the clubs will have to pay contributions in the amount of 172 million euros. Of this amount, 15% (€26m) will be withheld from any team revenue in full, while the remainder (€146m) is contingent on these clubs meeting settlement targets.
If the teams fail to complete the specified tasks, then PSG will pay UEFA 65 million euros instead of 10 million, Roma 35 million (5 million), Inter 26 million (4 million), Juventus 23 million (3.5 million) , AC Milan 15 million (2 million), Besiktas 4 million (0.6 million), Marseille 2 million (0.3 million), AS Monaco 2 million (0.3 million).
