UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin expressed his confidence that the 2030 World Cup will be held in Spain and Portugal. Note that these countries have already submitted a joint application to host the tournament.
“I am sure that the 2030 World Cup will be held in Spain and Portugal. We are convinced that it is this application that is winning in every sense. Both Spain and Portugal literally breathe football and at the same time have excellent infrastructure that meets all modern requirements. And we will do our best to help these two countries host the tournament," Čeferin was quoted as saying by Reuters.
We add that, according to media reports, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile also expressed interest in hosting the 2030 World Cup together.
