I felt that we have a great team, where everyone helps each other. Yes, due to the situation in Ukraine, we have a completely new team, but all the guys went through the Shakhtar Academy, have the mentality and spirit of this club, they know how the club played at its peak in Donetsk. All the guys have the right mindset, which means a lot to our club. You saw that there was one team on the field. Yes, now we do not have big stars, but we have a team - it seems to me that in such circumstances this is very important.
When we got into the Champions League, I was calm for my team. I think we have a great opportunity to get out of the group. I don't know if we'll finish in second, third or fourth place. We have a good opportunity to continue playing in European competition in February or March next year. I don't know for sure, but we will see it in the future. You see, young players can play one match at the top level, and fail in the second. We will try to show all the best that we are capable of,” Stepanenko said.
