Women football referees in Spain have gone on strike demanding higher wages and better working conditions.

The strike was announced a few days after the first Spanish referee took part in the men's Champions League match - Guadelupe Porras assisted Carlos del Cerro in the Napoli - Liverpool (4: 1) match.
