AEK head coach Jose Luis Oltra told what he expects from his team's match with Dynamo Kyiv in the 2nd round of the Europa League group stage, which will be held today in Krakow.
“We have an important, difficult game ahead of us against a historical team that is used to playing in the Champions League or the Europa League. Dynamo has a good coach with extensive experience, the team has a very good squad. Our opponents are a compact team with an excellent ability to carry out high-speed attacks. At the same time, Dynamo likes to control the ball. In a match with such an opponent, we must show all 100% of our potential in order to achieve a positive result. We will try to show a very good game.
Both AEK and Dynamo started their journey in the Europa League group stage with defeats, so the upcoming match will be decisive for both teams in a sense. It will be a tough game.
Of course, Dynamo have to prepare and perform in difficult conditions. I don’t know how difficult it is for an opponent, but as a coach I have to look at my work. Lucescu is very experienced - I'm sure he knows what needs to be done both psychologically and tactically.
I know that in Dynamo several players are injured. You could say that this is good for us, but again, Lucescu is a very experienced coach and he has a good selection of performers at hand. Not everyone will be able to play here either, but I won’t name names, ”Oltra said at a pre-match press conference held on Wednesday in Krakow.
