The match began with a cold shower for Dynamo: already in the 8th minute of the meeting, Gyurcho sent the ball exactly into the top 10 with a perfect free-kick 25 meters from the Kiev goal - 0:1.
Of course, Lucescu's wards threw all their forces into the attack, but AEK defended reliably, not giving their opponent the slightest chance to level the score. Nevertheless, in the 29th minute, the ball still ended up in the Cypriots' goal - it was Dubinchak who burst into the AEK penalty area from the left, performed a back pass on Buyalsky, and that technically dribble hit the far corner of the goal. However, after using VAR, the chief referee canceled this goal, since Dubinchak was offside during the Dynamo combination.
In the remaining time of the first half, Dynamo had no other scoring chances, except for Garmash's kick after a corner kick, after which the ball flew half a meter from the AEK goal post. As a result, the teams went to the break with the score 0:1 on the scoreboard.
In the second half, Dynamo also tried to play the first number, but AEK still acted flawlessly in defense. As a result, for the entire (!) second half of the meeting, the people of Kiev managed to score in the attack only with a long-range shot by Sirota (!), after which the ball flew over the crossbar in the "nine" area of the AEK gate. So the victory of the Cypriot team with a score of 1:0 was a completely natural result of this match.
Let's add that in another match of the 2nd round in group "B" of the Europa League, the French "Rennes" played a draw with the Turkish "Fenerbahce" - 2:2. As a result, the standings of the teams in this group took on the following form: Fenerbahce - 4 points, Rennes - 4, AEK - 3, Dynamo - 0.
In the next round in group "B" will play: "Rennes" - "Dynamo", AEK - "Fenerbahce". Both meetings will take place on October 6.
