German Interior Minister Nancy Feser sent a letter to UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin asking Belarus to be excluded from Euro 2024 qualification due to its support for Russia's war against Ukraine.
“Not only Russia, which is waging a brutal war in violation of international law, but also Belarus, which is the biggest supporter of the Russians, should be excluded from international football matches and tournaments,” the letter, quoted by Spiegel magazine, says.
Recall, unlike other federations, UEFA excluded only Russia from international competitions, leaving Belarus among the participants.
