In the Italian city of Pompeii, a street named after the Argentine legend Diego Maradona was opened, and on it you can see a mural depicting a football player.

During the "Street Art Festival" in Pompeii, the Argentine artist Maxi Bagnasco painted Maradona during the 1990 World Cup match on the entire wall of Luigi Leone's school. At the same time, he replaced the logo of the sponsor of the Argentine team with the emblem of Napoli. From today, Vitore Emanuele III Street will bear the name of Diego Armando Maradona.

“I took into account the wishes of the citizens,” Mayor Carmine Lo Sapio said. — An Argentine football player with a Neapolitan heart had close relations with our city. He was attached to the Madonna of Pompeii and did charity work for orphans in the city.
