The match almost started for the Ukrainian team with a cold shower: already in the 2nd minute of the meeting, Adams shot from 8 meters, and the ball flew half a meter from Lunin's goal post. However, six minutes later, the Ukrainians responded with an even more dangerous moment - it was Mudryk who broke through the left flank, performed an ideal cross pass to Yarmolenko, who, being completely without guardianship, punched from the line of the goalkeeper's area, but managed to send the ball above the goal.
The nominal home team missed the next opportunity to open an account at the 22nd minute of the match. This time, Dovbyk had a great chance to excel, who went one-on-one with Gordon, but the goalkeeper of the Scottish national team managed to catch the ball after the Ukrainian striker hit. Well, in the 35th minute, Stepanenko was already close to success: after his header from a corner kick, the ball flew near the goal post of the Scottish national team.
The second half began with another scoring chance for the Ukrainian national team: Mudryk, having received a pass on the left flank, picked up speed and delivered a dribble shot from the penalty line into the far corner of the goal, but Gordon managed to save the Scottish team in a throw. And in the 63rd minute of the meeting, Zabarny shot from outside the goalkeeper's area after Malinovsky's free kick - over the crossbar. Well, 15 minutes later, Stepanenko was already threatening the Scottish goal, inflicting a spectacular flying blow from outside the penalty area - next to the post. The Ukrainian team could not achieve more that evening. As a result - 0:0.
In the other match of the group, Ireland beat Armenia 3:2. As a result, the final standings of the teams in the group took the following form:

Thus, the Ukrainian national team failed to take first place in its group, and in the next draw of the League of Nations it will again play in the "B" division.
