Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo required surgery after an injury sustained in Uruguay's friendly against Iran.
Ronald AraujoAs reported by the official website of the Catalan club, the 23-year-old football player was diagnosed with a rupture of the tendon of the adductor muscle of the right thigh. The player underwent a successful operation in Finland. The Uruguayan will need six to eight weeks to recover.
Thus, Araujo will miss the World Cup, which will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18.
