Despite the decision made by the UAF back in May that the 2022/23 Ukrainian Cup will not take place, this tournament can still be held this season.
According to TaToTake, the UAF, together with the clubs, is considering the possibility of drawing the Cup of Ukraine-2022/23 in an abbreviated format. At the same time, three options for holding the tournament are being worked out at once.
Two of these options assume that only UPL clubs will take part in the Ukrainian Cup - either all 16 or the top 8. In the third version of the tournament format, the possibility of participation in it of all UPL clubs and some representatives of the first league is considered.
In all three options, it is assumed that the Ukrainian Cup-2022/23 will begin in the spring. The decision on this matter was eaten and will be made, then no earlier than November.
