Dnipro-1 defender Oleksandr Svatok commented on the successful start of his team this season. After six rounds of the 2022/23 Ukrainian Championship, Dnipro are single-handedly leading in the standings, two points ahead of second-placed Shakhtar.
“Based on how we are now going in the Ukrainian championship, we can say that the start was a success. But in the championship, it will be possible to draw conclusions about a successful start only after 7-8 rounds, and not after five matches. The start is still underway, but so far we are able to score points, play in such a way as to get results. And in European competitions it was possible to perform even better.
What's new brought Alexander Kucher (head coach of Dnipro-1, - ed.) into the training process? He asks us to play forward more aggressively, to attack more. The training process has received certain changes, there are more game exercises and work with balls. We are still building the team, because when a new coaching staff comes, it does not happen so quickly.
In fact, together we have only gone through the training camp and one month of the championship. We are still in the process of adjusting our actions, in the future, I think our interaction will improve, and we will even better fulfill the requirements of the head coach," Svatok said.
