The French Lyon announced the appointment of the well-known domestic specialist Laurent Blanc as the head coach of their first team.
Laurent BlancAccording to Lyon's official website, now former team coach Peter Bosch has been sacked from his position due to "disappointing results shown at the beginning of this season." After 10 rounds of the French championship, Lyon is only ninth in the standings with 14 points.
The contract between Lyon and Blanc was signed for two seasons - until June 30, 2024. The last place of work of the 56-year-old specialist was the Qatari side Er Rayyan, which he has been coaching since 2020. Blanc was previously known for his work at the helm of the French national team and PSG.
