The head coach of the Croatian youth team, Igor Bishchan, commented on the results of the Euro 2023 (U-21) final draw held yesterday, according to which his team ended up in Group B with Ukraine, Spain and Romania.
“We can be satisfied with the draw. Of course, Spain stands out in our group, she looks like her favorite. But Romania and Ukraine are definitely not better than us.
It will be very difficult for Romania as a host, even despite the special inspiration that the tournament hosts always play with and the great support of the fans.
In any case, the outcome of the draw further strengthens our optimism that we will advance to the quarter-finals. There is a lot of time left to prepare for the Euro, the most important thing is that we are able to put up the strongest squad for the tournament - then we will be extremely competitive. In general, we believe in our guys and believe that we can get out of such a group," Bishchan said.
