Metalist Kharkiv issued an open statement in response to statements addressed to the club by Rukh Lviv General Director Igor Dedyshyn.
“The media are circulating the statements of the General Director of the Rukh football club Igor Dedyshyn regarding the Metallist football club.
1. Evgeny Krasnikov, who worked at the Metalist football club, was fired of his own free will on 07/21/2022.
2. Evgeny Krasnikov is not a shareholder of FC Metalist.
3. Evgeny Krasnikov does not finance FC Metalist.
4. The club has its own sources of funding that do not violate the current legislation and FIFA regulations. And I am ready to provide the relevant documents at the request of the competent authorities.
We consider Dedyshina's statements unacceptable. This is a general slander, discrediting the honor of the Metalist football club. We reserve the right to apply to the football justice authorities and we will seek the most severe punishment for this functionary,” Metalist said in a statement posted on the club’s official website.
