UEFA has named the refereeing team for the match of the 5th round of the Europa League group stage between AEK and Dynamo Kyiv, which will take place next Thursday, October 27.
John Beaton - chief referee of the match AEK - DynamoThe main arbiter of the meeting appointed Scot John Beaton. It is interesting that earlier Beaton only once refereeed a match involving Dynamo — in 2018, the people of Kiev met with Rennes and won that match with a score of 3:1. The referee also crossed paths with other Ukrainian clubs in European competitions: Oleksandria - Hajduk (1:3, 2016), Zorya - Hertha (0:2, 2017).
Beaton will be assisted in the upcoming fight by: Daniel McFarlane and Douglas Potter - line judges, reserve referee - Stephen McLean. All referees are from Scotland.
The VAR referee is Australian Jarrett Gillett, the VAR assistant referee is Englishman Peter Banks.
As a reminder, the match between AEK and Dynamo will take place on Thursday, October 27. The meeting starts at 19:45 Kyiv time.
