Ex-striker of Shakhtar Donetsk Andriy Vorobey expressed his opinion about the match of Dynamo Kyiv in the Europa League against AEK.

- Of course, everyone understood that this was the most important meeting for Dynamo Kyiv. Everything was decided in Cyprus - or our team will continue to fight in European competitions and switch all attention to the Premier League. In the course of the match, it was clear that the Dynamo players put up with the unfortunate state of affairs. Lucescu's wards were losing almost all the time during the match.
- For many, the bad play of Dynamo defenders was a revelation. What do you associate it with?
- Yes, the Cypriots often beat Dynamo defense players one-on-one. This is the level of players in our team now. And three years ago, Dynamo, when meeting with AEK, simply would not have noticed such an opponent.
As for the defenders, Lucescu has just played defense this season. Karavaev, Burda, Popov, Dubinchak, Kendzera plus yesterday's four players. The Dynamo mentor shuffles defensive players all the time. They don't have consistency. Every man for himself. In my opinion, especially the center of defense should be stable and not change. This is the most important link in any team, but not in Dynamo. And so everything is very bad for the people of Kiev in defense. After all, the Cypriots still had moments at the gates of Neshcheret.

— Yes, you don’t often see the score 3:3. It was interesting for the fans. With the score 3:1, Mircea Lucescu released Parris and Diallo on the pitch. And even earlier, Garmash. It was this trinity that spun the carousel at the gates of AEK. Perhaps he threw the legionnaires into battle out of desperation. And they added creativity ahead. These guys tried to do everything on the move. Together with a very old Garmash, they saved the game. Still, a draw 3:3 is not a defeat.
- Why do you think the Romanian coach of Kiev did not give chances to Parris and Diallo before?
— The head coach sees the guys every day. Everything is decided in the training process. Perhaps they should have been given the opportunity to play. Indeed, apart from Tsygankov, no one has scored against Dynamo in the group stage of the Europa League.
- After five rounds, Dynamo scored only one point. How to explain it?
- Of course, this year is a disastrous one for Dynamo in European competitions. The capital club fell into a protracted crisis. And in the Ukrainian championship, the position of the blue-white-blue is not very important. Who is used to seeing Dynamo in 8th place? I will express my opinion: perhaps these 3:3 in Cyprus will become a starting point and the game, as well as the results of Dynamo, will become better. Perhaps the players will cheer up. Some kind of click should happen among the people of Kiev. It's time for them to wake up.
- Is the final draw a natural score?
- Probably yes. It was difficult for Dynamo on the difficult field in Larnaca. I often played in Cyprus and I know the quality of turf at different stadiums. It's not easy to play there. Plus, numerous moves affect the game of Dynamo. Everyone says, but what about Shakhtar? He also travels a lot. Let's not forget that the miners have been living in this regime for the ninth year. And for Dynamo, this is a new experience.
- What do you associate five yellow cards of Dynamo against one of the opponent?
- With poor ball tackling. Our defenders do not know how to cleanly take the ball. Yes, and fatigue has accumulated.
- Do you think Mircea Lucescu will not want to leave the team in winter?
- If the leaders of the club buy new players, then he will stay. Transfers are simply necessary for the team. Let it not be legionnaires, let it be Ukrainian football players, but 4-5 players are needed. Fresh blood, in the face of new guys, should shake up Dynamo Kiev. But if everything remains as before, then this will be an occasion for Lucescu to think.
- Many experts say that some of the Dynamo players, who play in the starting lineup, are degrading. Do you agree with this opinion?
- I won't name names, but there are players who need to leave and change the situation. When you stay in one place for a long time, it is harmful. I'm not saying that every year you need to radically change the composition, but there is stagnation. New players will bring new ideas.
- After the final game in the group stage against Fenerbahce, Dynamo will turn its attention to the Ukrainian championship. Will Dynamo players be able to improve their position in the standings before winter?
— I think they will be able to move up in the table. They will have fewer moves. Not quickly, but the situation can be improved.
