— Why do rookie teams get little playing time?
— As young players, they must grow through training and games. When I feel that they are ready and able to help the team, I will give them a chance in the first team. The same goes for Diallo's Samba.
When a player joins the team on the last day of the transfer window, and there is no way to determine his potential in test games, it is difficult for such players to prove themselves. Like a coach, it is difficult to evaluate them. It takes time to understand and get to know each other. Experiments are not allowed during games.
— What, in your opinion, is the phenomenon of Buyalsky, who demonstrates fantastic football in Dynamo, but is not called up to the national team?
- Each coach invites players to the national team, following his philosophy and vision of the game. I do not think that Petrakov does not summon Buyalsky to his own detriment. Vitaly is an excellent player, with high football intelligence and great experience. Perhaps now is not the best period for both him and the team, but today's game once again showed how important Buyalsky's presence on the field is.
— Dynamo played the best match of the season today — the team looked aggressive, pressed high, created chances due to the opponent's mistakes. What prevented you from showing such football before?
- I asked the players to start from scratch, forgetting about the European Cup games and all the difficulties. In the Europa League, we have a strong group: Fenerbahçe are in first place in the championship, Rennes are fighting for the second position. But we are professionals, and we must return to the game that we showed, because they expect results and a good game from us. Therefore, I asked the guys to step over the problems and look different today.
We had mistakes related to logistics: it was probably better to stay in Lodz and continue training there in order to move less. We played on equal terms in the lost match with Benfica - now this team is demonstrating a very high level and crushing everyone in the championship. We believed that we could beat Benfica in the Champions League qualification, and this defeat confused us. I think that our decline was largely due to the departure from the Champions League.
I hope that the difficulties will be left behind. We looked good in all games, controlled the ball. But what kind of "gifts" we made to rivals in the Europa League only added to the negative. Mistakes made hit the team psychologically, led to a lack of concentration in game moments. It's hard to cope when you're waiting for support and help, and you get only criticism. I asked the players to listen to my assessments, not the assessments of the press.

- We lost 1:3, but I liked the game both we and Dynamo demonstrated. Especially in the first 20 minutes, everything was given to us. But there was not enough concentration. In moments with two goals conceded, we made a good gift to Dynamo. The first episode is the mistake of our central defender. We asked not to play through the center, but there was a pass to the center and a cut, after which we conceded the ball due to a counterattack. And the second conceded goal is generally a "masterpiece".
However, it is important that the guys did not stop, scored at the end of the first half and returned to the game. And we went into the second half with even more motivation to show ourselves. There were moments where they could equalize, but we failed to score. Whereas Kyiv managed to score one more goal. Congratulations to Dynamo on the victory. And we will continue to work and try to show football even better than today. It's just a shame that the mistakes made by the guys become scoring.
— How will you set up the team for matches in the future in order to rise in the standings?
“I think that, first of all, it takes time. The team is completely new, a month or two is not enough to play. Moreover, the war in our country did not allow for a good level of sparring and quality training at the training camp.
Because of this, the championship of Ukraine is now so unpredictable. The same Dynamo lost a lot of points, Shakhtar... The most important thing is that we are holding this championship for our guys at the front. I know that many football fans are now defending our country, they follow football and worry, for them these are additional emotions. Therefore, we must hold the championship to the end, which will allow us to maintain representation in European competitions. The main victory is the victory of our country over Russia. And after it, I think everything will get better and the fans will return to the stadiums. We need to be patient and continue to follow our football. As soon as the war ends and we win, then everything will be fine.
