Everton head coach Frank Lampard expressed his opinion about defender Vitaliy Mykolenko.
“Mykolenko is a young guy who arrived in another country when so much is happening in Ukraine. I am satisfied with it and I think that this is not all. He had two very good matches against Crystal Palace and Fulham. In defense, he was very good on Saturday, in the way he fought physically, blocking attacks and demonstrating strength. We wanted him to be more involved in the game in terms of attack. We didn't quite succeed, but in the first half he took the lead and made several crosses, which I was glad about.
I believe that there is still a lot of progress hidden in Mikolenko. He is young and has a lot to add to his game," Lampard said in an interview with Everton's official website.
Recall that Mikolenko moved to Everton in the winter of 2022.
