Aston Villa have announced that they will update their club crest from next season, according to the Birmingham club's official website.
Aston Villa initiated the process of renewing the emblem back in June when they began interviewing season ticket holders and members of the official fan club.
More than 21,500 fans took part in the final vote, with 77 percent of the votes approving the circular design, a reference to Aston Villa's 1982 European Cup triumph. Only 8 percent were in favor of keeping the current emblem.
Visually, the new logo features a facing lion and the club's founding date.
