The continuous series with the representation of the Ukrainian league in the world championships continued for the last 5 tournaments, that is, since 2002.
The Ukrainian national team played only once at the World Cup. In 2006, the team led by Oleg Blokhin became the quarter-finalist of the tournament in Germany.
Since 2002, the clubs' applications have certainly included representatives of the clubs of the Ukrainian Championship. This series, which lasted five world championships, was interrupted in Qatar 2022.
The only UPL player who could have been included in the application of his national team was Dynamo defender Tomasz Kedzera. He was part of Poland at Euro 2020, played 26 matches for the national team in total and has 1 goal scored. Before the 2022 World Cup, Tomasz was included in the extended squad, but not in the final squad.
Chornomorets defender Manjrekar James, who has 17 matches and 2 goals scored for the Canadian national team, had theoretical chances to get to the Mundial, but since 2020 he has not been called up to the national team.
