The English Brighton is showing interest in a number of Shakhtar Donetsk players, with whom the current coach of the Seagulls, Italian Roberto De Zerbi, worked with last season.
De Zerbi, together with Salvatore Monaco, assistant to the head of the recruiting department, who came to the club in October under the patronage of the Pitmen's ex-coach and had previously worked with him in Ukraine and Italy, convince the Seagulls management that Shakhtar has a number of quality players who can seriously strengthen Brighton.
In particular, we are talking about center back Nikolai Matvienko, center forward Lassin Traor and right winger Teta.
The latter currently plays for Lyon on loan, but after a change on the coaching bridge in this team and the arrival of Laurent Blanc there, the Brazilian allegedly was puzzled by the question of his future, and would not mind finding a permanent club in January.
Recall that Roberto De Zerbi became the head coach of Brighton on 18 September.
