Lennon made his debut for Leeds in the 2003/04 season, aged 16 years and 129 days, becoming the youngest player in Premier League history at the time.

However, in Leeds, Lennon did not stay and in 2005 he ended up in Tottenham, for which he played 364 matches over ten years. Aaron was part of the team that won Spurs' last trophy to date, the League Cup in 2008.

At club level, Lennon also played for Everton, Kayserispor and Burnley, with whom he was out of contract at the end of last season. He played 21 matches for the England national team from 2006 to 2013.
