Former head coach of the Ukrainian national team Andriy Shevchenko was elected vice-president of the National Olympic Committee.
Andriy Shevchenko (photo: gettyimages.com)The election of the head of the NOC was won by the current Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vadym Gutzeit. He received five and a half times more votes than the main opponent, deputy and Olympic champion Jean Beleniuk (123 against 22).
Alexey Perverzentsev became the first vice-president of the NOC. Shevchenko is one of four vice presidents.
