Former head coach of the Ukrainian national team Andriy Shevchenko was elected vice-president of the National Olympic Committee.

The election of the head of the NOC was won by the current Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vadym Gutzeit. He received five and a half times more votes than the main opponent, deputy and Olympic champion Jean Beleniuk (123 against 22).
Alexey Perverzentsev became the first vice-president of the NOC. Shevchenko is one of four vice presidents.
